Ravnostic's Favorite Bloggers

These are the bloggers that Rav reads first. If he's short on time, he'll be sure to check out at least the latest postings by these folks, as they write blogs he doesn't want to miss if at all possible

R.H. writes a fairly diverse blog, and is sharp as a tack. His trademark "Save Our Language" blogs lampoon the asspacks who butcher the English language in a futile effort to look 'hip' and 'cool'. Neither term is 'hip' nor 'cool', nor are the writings he gleans from them. In a world where you can't make fun of minorities without getting fired by MSNBC, his blogs give us people we can still mock. Check it out.

Hostess with the most-ess of the famous West Coast Blog-b-Que events (a quarterly affair), the Teach' focuses on two types of blogging. First are her own, which never fail to cause one to think, provided one is inclined to like to think. Second are the blogs she 'pimps out', which allow her readers to find even more reading/thinking material that's worthwhile to ponder upon. She's also a personal friend of Rav.

Author of his self-titled (and first) anthology of tales, Will is a must-read. Whether his blogs, or his fiction. You can purchase his book via the link on his page. I highly recommend it--for this man is going places.

Nic's blogs are slice of life. A life Rav wishes he'd live closer to so he could share in it in person. Her writing points out the significance of the trivial--and the humor, and sometimes the pain. She's probably Rav's favorite female blogger (but he's too polite to *ahem* say so.) Plus, fully one half her blogs mention poop, which appeals to the base-humor Rav employs to relieve his mind of the stresses from his own day. She's a must read--now!--kind of blogger

The definitive master of photoshopping, Skorp is simply the best photo-shoppist Rav has ever known. Combine that with sharp writing skills, and you have a blog that can't be missed. It's Rav's hope that they meet, as they live in the same metro region.

Cat Zen Space is a blogger Rav has known from the MySpace forums nearly as long as he's read within them. His blogs are insightful--and sometimes inciteful as well. His writing style is easy going and a pleasure to read. A must-see among bloggers.

The Ravenous Miss Raven had Rav with her name. Then he read her blogs. If you miss this woman's writing, you might as well stop reading. 'nuff said.

Don't let Kerry's placement below others on this list fool you. He's a remarkable man, with a remarkable story. He may not blog often, but when he does, he's probably the first blog Rav will read. Besides his writing, he has the character that most men should wish they possessed and the physique that most women would likewise. Rav is honored to call this man his friend. Semper Fi!

APQ: Accident Prone Quincess (more than a queen, more than a princess...). In front of this devoted mother of two (or three, depending), lies a venomous, drunken, vile, and spiteful character. Don't let anyone tell you any differently. But it's all a character. And you'll love her humor. If you have a sense of one.

Evil Genius. The name says it all. He's also witty, articulate, well spoken, and quite good looking--for a heterosexual, that is.

The Blog's of Bloggers I've Met

These are people I've met in person. Some don't blog at all, and others blog frequently. But all of them are my friends, and when time permits, I like to keep up with their latest happenings

Perspective Girl met Rav when he encouraged her to attend one of the quarterly Blog-B-Que's held at Teacher With A 'tude's home. She lied to her own family about her whereabouts to attend. Just to meet Rav. What's not to love? Her name derives from her ability to view things from both sides of the fence. That alone makes her worth the look-see.

Cuddley Kitty of Chaos is a dear friend Rav met at the Blog-b-Ques. Other than the hostess (and host), they have the unique status as having been the only invites to have attented all of the first 3 (Rav will miss the 4th in May, to his eternal disappointment.) CKC writes blogs about his life, as well as some damned good erotica. Penthouse's Forum Magazine should wish they had it so good. And watch out for his cats. They maim.

What can I say? She moved to Phoenix to be near me. Okay, well she moved to Phoenix at least, and we did have lunch (long overdue for a repeat, I'll add). She writes what she knows--and that's often the best writing.

Blog's Rav's Bloggers Recommend

These are the bloggers Rav's friends and top bloggers like. Rav may not care for them at all, or may like just some of their work. But what does Rav know? Rav links, you decide.

Heidi came to Rav's attention through Will Entrekin's blog. She's a practicing photoshopper, and tends to write blogs about topics that allow her to poke gentle fun at her friends through her photographic manipulation. Rav included. Do visit--and if you like her stuff and comment--you could be next!

Ry-Guy writes a blog that focuses on his life as a young(er than Rav) gay male living in the modern world. Sometimes funny, sometimes serious, but always entertaining. As an added bonus, he looks great in a pair of briefs. His writing's worth checking out, as well.

Other Bloggers in Rav's Association

These are bloggers who Rav reads when he's got free time to spare and has exhausted his regular fare. Some go on to be bloggers he won't want to miss. Some blog on topics he doesn't consider his normal forte, but occasionally likes to view.

Rav's read SassDeluxe since joining MySpace. She's articulate, a mother, a business owner, and has more energy to devote to her various passions than Rav has to get up in the morning. Real life. Real blogs. And a real person behind them. Check her out.

Rav loves the straight men, as you might have guessed, and Greg-SpAsTiC is one of his favorites to torment. Yet Greg takes it in stride (no, not that kind of stride!) and puts up with Rav anyway. Beauty fades, and Rav would move on, but dammit, Greg's blogs continue to entertain, so Rav goes back for more.

Caterpillar's Dream to Fly is a long-time Rav reader, and sooner or later--that get's Rav's attention. She writes real-life blogs--and has a real life that is often worth reading about. He recommends her for her sincerity and humanity, among other reasons.

Ry-Guy:Pro-gay blogging, at it's finest. The banner says it all. Spread acceptance by reading his material. He often shares the stories of others. Worthwhile stuff.

Cream's blogs are a perplexing lot. Often fiction, often not, and always hard to dissern between the two. Her erotica is outstanding. And Rav happens to think she's gorgeous, besides. Do visit her site--I believe you have to be on her 'friends' list to view her writing. It's worth the effort.

Tasha came to Rav's attention as a stalker. But she's got quite a following of her own without Rav's help. She posts on a variety of subjects, near and dear to her, and some humor as well. Go give her a look and decide for yourself.

Blogger Rav Says to Avoid

This is the file of a bloggers Rav knows about, but wouldn't want to promote because the blogger is really just not that good. Plus, rumor has it said blogger is straight. Unconfirmed, but highly likely. You wouldn't want to click this link. It's just there for informational purposes

[coming soon--if he's good to me.]
